By using NearUs, you agree to follow these Terms of Service and use the platform responsibly. These terms may be updated from time to time to improve our services and user experience. Continued use of NearUs after any updates means you accept the revised terms.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts and ensuring that the information they provide is accurate and up to date. All users are expected to use NearUs respectfully, responsibly, and in accordance with applicable laws and platform guidelines.
Task posters are responsible for accurate task descriptions and timely payment. Task acceptors commit to completing tasks as described. The platform serves as a marketplace only and does not guarantee task outcomes. All tasks must include a valid payment amount — free or ₹0 tasks are not permitted.
Payments are processed securely via Razorpay. When a helper is selected, the poster pays the full task amount upfront into escrow. Funds are held by Razorpay and released to the helpers in app wallet only after the poster confirms task completion, helper can withdraw the money after meeting minimum withdrawal threshold. A 10% platform fee is deducted from the task amount — the helper receives 90%.
NearUs offers refunds in the following situations. All refunds are subject to the conditions below and processed through Razorpay.
Before helper selection
If no helper has been selected yet, you can delete your task at no cost. No payment is collected at this stage.
After payment — Helper not working
If your selected helper is unresponsive or fails to complete the task, you may cancel with the reason "Helper not working". You will receive a full 100% refund. The helper may also receive a temporary ban from the platform.
After payment — No longer needed
If you choose to cancel a task you no longer need, you may cancel with the reason "No longer needed". A 10% convenience fee is retained to cover Razorpay payment processing costs. The remaining 90% is refunded to you.
Refund timeline
All refunds are processed by Razorpay. Funds typically appear in your original payment method within 3–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Tasks with active escrow
Tasks that have funds locked in escrow cannot be cancelled without selecting a cancellation reason. Accounts with unresolved escrow tasks cannot be deleted until those tasks are settled.
You may not use NearUs for illegal activities, fraud, harassment, or any activity that violates these terms. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies. Helpers found not performing agreed work may receive a temporary platform ban.
NearUs is not liable for disputes between users, task quality, or any indirect damages arising from platform use. Our maximum liability is limited to the commission amount collected on a given transaction.
